ok so i was having severe courfius feels yesterday and suddenly i had a epiphany because courfius hogwarts au omg
so like when marius first comes to hogwarts he’s super shy and nervous and doesn’t talk to anyone, until a boy with curly black hair sits next to him at the sorting and, beaming, introduces himself as courfeyrac and declares that they are going to be best friends
and they do indeed become best friends and are inseparable, and whenever people tease marius for his shyness and stuttering courfeyrac always comes to his rescue (many of the bullies have suspiciously shown up to the hospital wing with pimples or horns)
they sleep in beds next to each other in the dormitories and give each other presents for christmas and courfeyrac lends marius his big sweaters to wear when it’s cold and marius helps courfeyrac with his dismal ability to write essays, and when marius fell from his broomstick during quidditch practice it was courfeyrac who swept him up into his arms and rushed all the way to the hospital wing while carrying him, and everyone thinks they’re boyfriends and they’re always like “omfg no”
but then one day in their fifth year when courfeyrac saves marius again from something, marius looks at him and suddenly he kind of realizes, oh no, i’m in love
and for the yule ball in sixth year marius is too awkward to ask anyone until on the day of the ball courfeyrac stands up and offers marius his hand and is all “may i have this dance, madame pontmercy?” and marius goes all red and blushy and they dance
and on the dance floor they kiss and everyone starts clapping and the whole les amis (yea they’re at hogwarts too ok) is all like fucking finally and enjolras is rolling his eyes but even he’s kind of smiling too
Courfeyrac and Marius going to a park together and Courfeyrac pushing Marius on the swings. Courf pushing too hard and Marius looking like he’s about to fall off. Marius falling over at the park and scraping his knee and Courf making a big deal about it by carrying Marius to the nearest park bench and acting like Marius has just been shot and pulling on some plasters and placing them onto his knee and kissing the scrape and telling him to be more careful and it’s all adorable and Marius is blushing and saying that he will and eeeeeeep uwu
(Courfius) Marius having this habit of borrowing Courf's sweaters so the sleeves are too short and they're baggy but they smell like his Courf and sometimes that's just what he needs to stop him being scared, so he turns up to all his exams / etc in ill-fitting ugly-ass jumpers stolen from his boyfriend
When Courfeyrac notices he takes to buying jumpers with too-long sleeves so that Marius won’t be wearing jumpers with sleeves that end midways up his forearm (because it’s adorable and everything but he is also going out in them)
And Marius sits in his exams and if there’s a question that’s really hard and that makes him panic a little, he buries his nose in the jumper and just breathes in Courfeyrac’s scent while he thinks. It works surprisingly well as a memory-jogger too, because he studies with Courfeyrac, so he always smells the vanilla-pine-chocolate scent that always seems to hang around Courfeyrac as he studies.

Courfeyrac is literally one of the three people in the world who can actually handle Marius! EVEN M. GILLENORMAND CAN’T REALLY HANDLE MARIUS
